One man business in India

During my long years of practice as a Chartered Accountant, many a prospective entrepreneur has sought

my advice as to how a one man business can be registered in India.

Until the new Companies Act 2013 was passed, this was not possible.

Companies Act required at least two individuals for registering a Private Limited Company.

Similarly,Partnership Act required at least two individuals to register.

Many would ,reluctantly, add his spouse or a friend  and form a Partnership or a Private Limited Company.

With the passage of the Companies Act 2013,this long felt need has been addressed.

It is now possible to have a Corporate form and registration  with just one member!

And,you can also nominate the successor!!!!

Similarly, the limits for Private Limited Company membership has been raised from 20 to 200!!!

So,you can rope in all your investor friends in your next venture.

Even the limit for partnership membership has been raised from 20 to 100.

So,what are you waiting for-take the jump and go into your own business.
